This yarn has been on my wishlist for years. I’ve had my obsession with Kid Silk Haze before, so when I found this yarn, I couldn’t let it go. It’s finer, softer and silkier than any mohair-silk blend I’ve ever touched.

Meet the newest yarn in our collection of luxurious silk-blend yarns. Silk Mist is a light and hazy, warm and fuzzy cobweb lace yarn that can be knit up into exquisitely delicate lace projects or carried along with other yarns for additional warmth and shine. Spun from 60% fine kid mohair and 40% cultivated silk, this yarn is deliciously light and warm. There are 325 yards per 25g skein, but a little goes a long way.

How long is a long way?

This is the shawl I designed for my maid of honor, Michelle, last year. I finally had a chance to write down and publish the pattern for it. Knit up in the new Silk Mist yarn, the shawl takes less than one skein of yarn!

The pattern is available now on Ravelry as a pre-release. Basically, if you purchase the pattern, I will send out a notification when the full pattern is uploaded to Ravelry. It shouldn’t be too long… I’d say definitely in the next two weeks. Our dedicated test knitters are racing to see who can finish their shawl first!

UPDATE (2012-09-12): The pattern is available now on Ravelry! And until October 1st, get $1 off your purchase.

Finally! I love your merino silk lace, and was waiting patiently for you to release a mohair and silk blend! Now the HARD part, trying to decide which colourway to try first, and then which project to knit with it! :-D
